General comment on data set The dataset was developed within the Arcadia Project and was subjected to an internal critical revision. The dataset is related to the production of electricity from biooil derived from seeds, and derived vegetables oil and animal fats, at plants with a nominal power of 500 MW.

Technology description including background system The dataset is referred to a system including the conversion of biooil to energy (electrical), by means of combustion (500 MW plant). . The power of the combustion plant is 500 MW named “Oil power plant, 500MW {GLO}| market for | Cut-off, U”. The data concerning the sinks of biooil are obtained by secondary data, in accordance with the GSE (Gestore Servizi Energetici) report, "Statistical Report 2020 on Renewable Energy Sources. Background data and processes (biooil production and conversion plants) were modelled according to EcoInvent database (v. 3.7.1) cut-off datasets were used.
