| Technology description including background system | The machinery present in the quarry is a hammer excavator, with which the wall is broken, and the gypsum blocks are crushed, and two mechanical shovels, with which the extracted raw material is loaded onto the trucks for subsequent transport to the processing plant, about 8 km away. The diesel consumption of the two machines is respectively 0.15 l/t and 0.19 l/t. In the processing plant, the gypsum blocks, approximately 30 cm in size, undergo a series of mechanical crushing and screening treatments and any firing, variable according to the type of plaster product to be obtained and its use.
