| Technology description including background system | The functional unit is 1 p (= 1unit) of wooden monocoque school chair; the total weight of the school chair is 4,632 kg (its dimensions are 40 cm*40 cm*46 cm (height)). The production process begins with the arrival of raw steel frames and monocoque seats at the manufacturing company. Then the steel frames are painted, pre-treated, dried in the oven, painted and polymerised. The iron steel and the monocoque are finally assembled. No final packaging is used. Production of equipment and infrastructure is not included, with the exception of the background system. Primary (Veneto supply chain) data representative of the Italian supply chain by geographical characteristics and technologies used (machinery, equipment, etc.) were collected. Inventory data were collected as physical quantities of materials used in the different processes. The benefits from the production and use of energy from incineration and landfills have been excluded, as well as those deriving from the use of secondary materials produced from the recycling of waste materials (eg plastic and cardboard). |
